Hampers
A thing of beauty is a joy to receive
We have teamed up with an amazing talented artisan maker here on Tasmanians Southern Channel, she is making us hand crafted linen bento bags for our hampers.
The origins of the bento bag or box goes back many hundreds of years in Japan, first food was wrapped in bamboo leaves and carried in a linen bag, this then became an essential item for outdoor excursions, taking your lunch to the office or just enjoying a picnic at the beach or park.
I was shown one of these gorgeous bags with freshly made bread wrapped up inside and was told that linen actually keeps the bread fresher for longer, tied closed they are surprisingly compact ,opened wide they sit squarely on their flat bottoms, folded flat they take up so little space, we decided to do away with hamper baskets or boxes and put our products in the perfect reusable gift.
